The Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, met with the American Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, at the Pentagon. This is the first meeting between the new Prime Minister and the Secretary of Defense.
Naftali Bennett and the Secretary of Defense discussed several regional, political and security issues. Among all the issues, the discussed ways to stop Iran’s regional aggression and Iran’s progress in the Iranian nuclear program.
The Prime Minister thanked the Secretary of Defense for the close cooperation between Israel and the United States (On the security level). Bennett stressed the importance of strengthening their connection in the future.
The Prime Minister mentioned that alongside the strategic alliance between the United States and Israel, Israel will continue to assert its right to maintain its security in the Middle East. Bennett said that Israel will do whatever it takes to keep Israel and its citizens safe.
