Spicy pepper sauce for steak – the list of ingredients

Instructions for preparing the sauce:

Fill a glass jar with the red and green Thai chili peppers.

Put the vinegar, salt, and sugar in aa small saucepan and cook it over medium heat while stirring until the salt and sugar dissolve. (About 2 to 3 minutes).

Remove from the heat, and let the ingredients cool off a little bit for at least 5 minutes. Then, pour the hot mixture into the jar of peppers.

Next, cover the jar with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least three weeks. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to six months. (Depends on how spicy you want your sauce to be).

Chilling the sauce in the refrigerator for several weeks allows the peppers to burn the vinegar mixture. It is important to note that the longer you let the sauce “rest” in the fridge, the spicier it becomes.

Are red pepper and cayenne pepper the same?

According to the American Spice Trade Association, “red pepper” is the preferred name of all spicy red peppers. Cayenne pepper is another name for the same type of product. Some manufacturers use the term cayenne pepper to refer to a hotter version of the red pepper.

Use paprika instead of pepper for sauce

Some people like using hot paprika to make a steak sauce. When preparing a paprika sauce, you should pay attention to the type of peppers that make up the sauce. Paprika is a vibrant red spice that can change the taste of the whole dish. Some paprika sauces are hot and spicy, and others can be sweet and delicate. It is all a matter of taste and how you like your steak.
