Macaroni stew with asado! The number 1 pasta brand in Italy, “Brilla”, offers a winter recipe with a surprising twist:
Ingredients:
- 1 jar of rila basil sauce
- 1 pack of Brilla Bucchini (Spaghetti No. 9)
- 5 asado peices cut with the bone
- 7 cloves of garlic
- 5 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 onions cut into quarters
- Teaspoon of salt
- 200 grams of chestnuts
- Teaspoon ground black pepper
- A tablespoon full of paprika
- Water to cover the pasta
- 3 tablespoons thyme – only the leaves
Preparation method:
- Cook the buccini and strain
- In a pan place olive oil, onion quarters, and the asado. Fry from all directions until the meat and onions are browned and set the pan aside.
- In a bowl, mix the buccini with the jar of sauce, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper and thyme.
- In a greased rectangular pan – preferably lined with greased baking paper, place a little of the buccini, place the pieces of meat and onions on the pan, sprinkle chestnuts and pour the meat oil over.
- Cover with the rest of the buktini.
- Fill with water until covered.
- Wrap in baking paper topped with foil.
- Bake in the oven at 130 degrees overnight, or for about 7 hours.
A well-known Jewish recommendation is to leave the broth for the night in the oven or on a special hotplate for Shabbat, get up in the morning for the heat and aromas from the boiling pot
Enjoy!
